Evan Healey

Lead Trial Lawyer

Evan Healey is a Lead Trial Lawyer at Zinda Law Group, based in the firm’s Denver office. Evan’s passion for law stems from a deep desire to make a positive impact on the world. Originally intending to practice environmental law, during law school clerkships he discovered a calling in personal injury law, finding immense fulfillment in helping clients who might otherwise lack access to legal representation.

Evan earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he was awarded the Transatlantic University Collaboration in Climate Change and Energy Law (“TUCCEL”) award and served as an Academic Achievement Program leader for torts. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder and began graduate work at the University of South Florida before transferring and earning his master’s degree from Northern Arizona University.

After law school, Evan clerked for a district court judge, gaining invaluable insight into civil litigation, particularly personal injury cases, which continues to influence his approach to the courtroom. His experience includes handling motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), accidental gunshot cases, premises liability, dog bites, and excessive force/officer-involved shootings. At Zinda, Evan is focused on expanding his expertise, particularly in MVA cases involving dram shop claims and excessive force cases under Colorado’s law enforcement integrity act.

Outside of the courtroom, Evan is an avid cyclist, triathlete, and runner. He has competed in state, collegiate, and national championship races, including three Ironman-distance triathlons. When not practicing law, he can be found running and cycling in the mountains of Boulder County, where he lives with his wife, Jesse, their daughter, Lucy, and their dog, Frank.
